I can't get my xbox to power on or off through the power or eject buttons. In order for me to turn the xbox on I have to just plug it in, and to turn it off I have to either shut it down through the x3 live configuration or unplug the xbox.
I just recently installed the X3 into my V1.4 XBOX. I had a lot of problems first caused my the xapt3r and a trace on the x3 chip going up in smoke, but I finally got it to work after many hours and soddering and resoddering and ignoring the xapt3r. (The trace that smoked up was connecting pin 15 and 9 on the x3. Was it safe for me to just sodder it back together?) Has anybody found a solution to the problem of the xbox automatically turning on by just plugging it in?
With the reset/eject adapter on, only the eject button works while the system is powered on. The x3 always boots up with the 256k backup light shining no matter what switches I flip, (and remember I can't turn it on through the buttons.)
I believe I've tried removing the reset/eject adapter and the front buttons then work, (I think, I'll have to try it again.) What is the purpose of this adapter?
