Xbox restarting before going to Flashbios

As you can tell I'm a noob at this,

switch is on bank 1, flash protect off, chip enabled

Question: is it normal for the xbox to shut down and reboot, then go into the Flashbios screen whenever I press the power or eject button cause the xbox boots up normally when its switched to bank 2.

I'm pretty sure I have it soldered correctly cause it boots to Flashbios and I can play original xbox discs whenever I turn off the chip.

FYI: Xecuter 2.6CE
xbox v1.0
Flashbios 3.0.3, chip came with it.

The chip came with flashbios 3.01 on bank 1, and 3.03 on bank 2.

I'm not exactly sure what is happening here.
When you boot wiht the chip off the Xbox works as normal.
Bank 1 shows flashbios and bank 2 boots to the dash?

Looking at your other post, I think the problem is you're using the Evox BIOS with your chip. This is known to cause the reset problem you're experiencing. Download the newest X2CL (5035) and flash to the chip.
