R-JTAG Xbox RJTAG Noob here. Need guidence on CR4 XL install and the means for diff mods.

I have questions on the CR4 XL.

So I been an IT tech for about 4 years, serious microsoldering and etc. on motherboard for phones and computers.

Interested in the definitions of JTAG and other main Xbox Mods.

My main goal is to turn a PHAT Xbox 360 Jasper Unit into a modded machine so I can install games and play them without the disc inserted, and be able to use any type of hard drive.

I was e-mailed by support that the CR4 XL would make that possible.


Can ANYONE give any direction in how to approach this goal: such as what software do I install, what steps do I take into putting the unit in, etc. etc. etc.

U need to download j runner for software.
Good soldering equipment and skills.
U need a Jr programmer or nandx to be able to read/write to the nand.
A glitch chip(cr4 for example)
There are 2 methods with cr4, R-jtag+ & rgh2+
Both will work on your jasper but rgh2+ is a easier install and works well on Jasper's.

What is the nand and how does the read write work?

Will j runner work with both, jtag and rgh2?

Best is to download j runner and read the PDF it comes with. This will explain everything u need to know.

So once I install the hard ware, do the nand, then install the j runner software, I should be good to go?

I can do everything besides I need to know what the nand is all about, which is probably a simple question.
