Hello to all, my name is Marius and recently I bought a Xbox 360 slim. The console is working very well and had the optical unit already modded with (I think) LT 3.0.
I decided that i want to rgh the console, so I made some little reserch and found out that there are glich chips that do not need any programmer (are preprogrammed) and that I can extract the nand of the console with an LPT cable.
I bought this chip called CR4 Slim, it can be seen here http://www.modchipsdirect.com/cr4-slim-3rd-party-cr4-ship.html

Built an LPT cable from an old printer cable and extracted the nand three times from the console. The nands are perfect without any bad blocks and the same.

I have installed the glich chip according to the tutorials found in JRunner software and uploaded the ECC file to the nand. After a few days of trial and error I finaly managed to glich the console and boot XELL Reloaded. I made some pictures of the CPU key and with the help of Auto GG I generated the final nand image for the console.

The console is running fine, games are running OK, a problem that I encountered is that I cannot assemble the console back together, now I am using it teared apart, I cannot put it back in the case because it wont boot also if the electricity from the power outlet is stopped from any reason the console will not boot. The solution is to load the ECC file and the flashed nand again and the console will work.

So now come the question: DOES the ECC file can get corrupted in any way or it can get erased while the console is not connected to power?
Please help me someone, I really dont know what to do to it!
Merry Christmas to all and happy gaming!

When you say it wont boot do you mean the debug light on the CR4 blinks but the console wont boot or that there is simply no power to the console at all when in the case? If the former, I would say you need to do some tuning with the CR4 (post pics of install). If the latter you are probably shorting something out.

Removing power from the console should not result in what you're describing. Chances are you need to do some tuning. Again, pics of install will help a lot in trying to assist you.

EDIT - I just saw you're using a clone chip. So, you wont get much help here....

Please post pics of your install. This is a TX forum, so you need to be using legitimate products to get help with any glitching.

For any "power" issues that you are having - check that NOTHING is shorting to the chassis, the mainboard, or the DVD-rom drive. Chances are, you have something shorted if you're not getting power.

IMG_20161228_161940.jpgThanks for the reply, here is a photo of the board

The glich chip has a 22 ceramic capacitor installed and the DIP switches from 1 to 5 are set to ON, then 6 is OFF (there are only 6 DIP switches). I am aware that the chip is a clone, for the moment I dont have anything better

I don't think I have any "power" issues or "shorts" because in this moment I am playing games on the console with no problems, but it happens sometimes (not too often) that the main power in my home is interruped. I am not sure if this is the main reason that the console is not gliching anymore...
But if I upload again the ECC file, the console gliches with no problems

Because of this I am thinking that maybe the ECC file is responsable for the "not gliching" problem.

The chip is indeed working no problems there, the green led is blinking and it gliches in 5 to 40 seconds.

The main question is: if the console is disconnected from power and then reconnected back after a few minutes, why it does not glich anymore?

You guys had issues like this?

Today I flashed again the ECC file to the NAND and its driving me crazy.

The CR4 Slim glich chip is separate from the console nand, right? These two do not communicate or they are not connected to each other.
The CR4 Slim glich chip is connected to the main console processor, right? So lets assume its working OK, we dont have to do anything there.

With a fresh upload of the ECC file, the console gliches from the first boot and is still gliching even days later ( if the console was not unplugged from the wall socket).

Unplug it or a random power loss and when I press the power button on the console, the green led on the console turns ON, green led on the glich chip is blinking ( so its working, nothing to do here), but the console does not boot.

The question is why does not boot guys?

I flash the ECC and its booting in max 10 seconds, there are no shorts, no bad blocks in the nand, no errors while writing the ECC.

SO again the question from the first post, what happens to the uploaded ECC file? Does it get corrupted, does it get deleted, it is edited by the main processor, the nand resets its memory somehow?

Thread closed, while not a direct clone of a TX chip, it's certainly using the CR4 name for marketing benefits.

Oh, does anyone else want to derail a thread? I assure you that the punitive action will only become more severe each time.
