GENERAL Xbox Slim Problems

Hi everybody hope someone can help please.

I have a FAT 360 with the CD drive flashed everything work great plays games off my backups.
I have just got a Xbox Slim and had the Liton drive flashed and here is where the problem starts.

as I said my fat plays every disk, but the slim reads some disks and other disks it doesn’t see says don’t recognise disk.

I put Disney RUSH disk in and it loads but then says put disk in then it see the disk then it doesn’t ????

can anyone help Please

Possibly a weak laser. Replace laser and see what happens.

Or you may have old xbox FAT with Hitachi 32-59 or Samsung that isn't an AP2.5-capable drive. And if your games are not fully written then old drives still can read them, but new drives with wount do that.

I agree with geek0875 on this one. Sometimes after much use the dvd drive lens gets really weak. Just replace the lens and the dvd drive should be working as it should.

Could always try the POT tweak method first before rushing out to buy a new laser. Make sure you have a multimeter though.

A pot tweak can help but new lasers are quite cheap and way more reliable. Most likely you will be opening your console within a few weeks to replace the laser anyways. You never stated what drive or firmware which would be helpful if it turmed out no to be the laser. Also what games didn't work and how you are burning them with what brand of discs is also important.
