I have an xbox 1.1 just fitted an x2.6ce when the chips enabled it works fine but if i disable the chip it switches off and on then of again any ideas whats wrong
No error codes no i have just put a new hd in yes and i locked it using config magic the hard drive that was in it originally died so i couldn't get any files off it so i used slayers installer disk to install everything
use Slayor's Disc to reload your orginal xbox dash files. Your friends xbox files may not be compatible. The set that slayor has is supposed to work with all versions.
There will be a lot of files missing from your Xbox that it will need in order for it to boot the MS dash properly. Personally, I've never used Slayers, so I'm not too sure - maybe it has put the original MS dash back on your Xbox, but to what extent - just the XBE file, like I said I'm not too sure - but from you said it obviously doesn't do everything that is needed.
