Do you know the IP addresses of the boxes? You'll have to disable DHCP and give both boxes similar addresses (ie 192.168.1.120 and 192.168.1.121). There's some nerdy network stuff going on here, but basically, if the addresses are too different, the boxes won't be able to connect to each other.

Hey,
This has nothing to do with the X3 chip.
You need to select "xbox to xbox" transfer on both xbox's and reboot.
Go into the file manager on the xbox you want to transfer from on the right side select remote connection. In a moment you should see a ghost of the other xbox.
on the left side add to the queue the files you want to transfer. When your done select transfer queue.
It easy once you get the hang of it and it's super fast. I get about a gig a minute transfer rate. That's faster than dvd2xbox.

This also works through a router or any other connection so it doesn't matter that your using a crossover cable. Avalaunch automatically detects other avalaunch dashboards on the network.

Look in the settings. Cmon now. If you searched the whole dashboard, which would take about 5 minutes tops, you would have found it.

I am trying to transfer games and files from one XBOX to another XBOX using FlashFXP to do it and for some reason most of the files fail why is that? I can only transfer from the XBOX to my comp and then to the other XBOX is it FlashFXP or my XBOX or maybe the router?

PLEASE HELP 100+gigs and it will take a long time it I go to the comp first

When I'm transferring stuff between Xboxes, I just use WS_FTP Pro, open both xboxes, and transfer one from another that way. The only data that gets transferred to the PC is the details of the file list. It actually goes pretty fast, and saves you the trouble of messing around with an Xbox FTP client.

You don't have to do this. When you select xbox to xbox transfer on both xbox's it sets up the network for you. Then Avalaunch automatically detects otheer avalaunch users on the network.

I don't know why it's hanging. Which xbox are you doing the transfer from?
Your supposed to be on the xbox your transfering the files FROM.

Just an FYI to all those screaming use avalaunch and let it set up the connection. Be aware you will have to redo all of the network settings after you are done because it changes everything. This is not an acceptable method and is more cumbersome then transferring it all to my puter and coming back later to transfer back to the new box. I was not thrilled by having to redo all of my network settings afterwords. Someone please discuss an alternate method. I have tried to use the pc as the conductor with no luck. Others have tried to discuss that here but everytime the next post says use avalaunch and the topic keeps drifting back.

Avalaunch has to change the network settings to a local network. I don't understand what problems you had but reenabling DHCP or Static IP is not that hard.

You can go through a router it will work either way.
Actually that may work better. try starting both xbox's and try to get a remote connection without selecting the xbox to xbox item.
It just might see it through the router.
Let us know how it works out.

Yeah, i've had the same problem... I just FTP into each xbox on each different screen of FlashFXP, and then try to transfer back and forth, but for some reason I'm having the same problem as Punch. Then agan there are some specialized xbox programs designed for FTPing between xboxes and if anyone knows of any good ones... please inform me
