Xbox turns itself off

I have just installed an x3ce chip in my v1.2 xbox. I flashed what I thought was a good version of the xecuter 3 bios onto the first bank(on, on, off, off, off) and when I power the box up, it stays on for about a second or so and then turns itself off. I also installed the same chip at the same time onto a friends v1.1 xbox and he flashed his with a cd and the xecuter 3 bios - his worked. When I tried to flash mine using this same cd on the second bank (off, on, off, off, off) it did the exact same thing. Now both of my 1 meg banks are just turning the xbox off, nothing comes on the screen at all. I am able to boot into the backup bios, but when I try to restore the banks using a cd or http, it acts as though it is working, but when I turn it back on, it just powers down again. Also, the xbox works fine with the x3 disabled (red x3 logo). Any thoughts? Thanks.

did you try loading a X2 bios to it? If you can try to get EvoX on it and then send the X3 erase app and then use it... but im not sure if thats your problem

Also keep in mind that there are 2 versions of the bios in the zipped/rarred file: one for v1.0-v1.5 and one for v1.6>
You need the one that doesnt mention the 1.6, which looks like this:

X3 3029 v16plus.bin
X3 3029.bin <-- this is the one you need.

I assume that you know how to reflash, if not use the search and if you get stuck, ask :)

I'm flashing the correct bios, as it works on my friend's 1.1 xbox. I've also tried re-flashing multiple times from both http (bios backup) and by cd. Any other ideas?
