FIXED xbox turns on and then off after 2-3 seconds

okay got this 360 in a few months back for RGH2 ..... did the RGH2 and went just fine. .... now this just came in with this weird problem..


i turn on the 360 and the fans run for a split second then turn off and the power light goes off after a further split second....

no RROD just turns off. ... on the PSU the light goes green and back to orange in 1 second as i turn the 360 on ....


tried writing back the stock image and the glitch image and xell ECC aswell still the same ... disconnected the coolrunner still the same..

any suggestions ?

ive removed the coolrunner and its flashed to stock image .... its still on the same thing .. putting up the pics of the board in 10 minutes

yes ive tried another psu still the same and the psu is good on another system.. here are the pics

hmm dust had gathered there .. alright will clean that up and post result here again ,..

ohh i get it .... i was assuming there was a short in the power line .... :)

i understand now the pics requirement .... got a cheap camera just for this purpose lol

Martin C can you please tell me what do you mean by STBY_CLK and where is it located? Do i need to deassemble my xbox in order to clean it? I am xbox newbie, i have the same problem and i can't see pics Posted by OP because they are no more. Thanks

I doubt that you have the same problem if you have not opened the console. Is it a stock machine?

I think its same problem because my xbox 360 does the same (as OP said i turn on the 360 and the fans run for a split second then turn off and the power light goes off after a further split second....no RROD just turns off.... on the PSU the light goes green and back to orange in 1 second as i turn the 360 on ....) . And sorry to bother you, but how would i know its a stock machine? i just bought it from a store. As i said i am xbox newbie so i dont know much.

If you had not previously opened your xbox, and have now done so since purchasing it from the store then you have made a mistake. Why are you asking about your brand new console on the TX forum? This is a forum for xbox modifications primarily using TX branded chips. Hopefully you can reassemble your device and send it to the original store of purchase for exchange as long as it doesn't look like it was opened (i.e. warranty sticker intact etc.) Thats all the help I can offer I think.
