xbox turns on its owm

my xbox v1.1 is powering on its own. its not the power supply unit and its not the switch.my question is can i install the mod chip to a new motherboard without flashing the chip again

my guess is yes, i think you can. but again, i can also be wrong about this.
only way to find out, is to switch mb, and see if it works.
