You have to remove it to get the power/eject adapter put in, but it has to be put back in after you get the adapter stuck down.

If you look in the tutorial they don’t put it back in they just plug in the controller wires directly into the motherboard :?:

jesus christ...

the only version of the xbox that had a usb daughter board is the 1.0.

on the 1.0 install i did, i simply removed the daughter board to give me more room to get to the power switch plugs. then you plug the daughter board back in as it was. or you can leave it plugged in if you like; although i think if youre having this much trouble with something so simple than your soldering job will probably be poop.

LT 1.1 and 1.0

its been a while since i been on here. i just want to comfirm how safe are theses firmwares?
Is it safe to go onto XBL now?
What is the ap check and is it just for the new kinect games?
*if i still have the old dashboard and connect online to get the new dashboard for kinect, is it safe for me to download?*
i understand that these fw are all at own risk but if someone could clear up to me a little bit of the new fw, that be appreciated *ps i dont like this new set up at all with the site, it was better when the new info of the ppl creating and makin this possible was upload asap at the home page

latest fw is LT Plus v1.1 (required for all drives except samsungs and Pre 78 Hitachis)
update to latest fw before you update your dashboard.
AP25 checks are now performed on a handful of games (without LT+ your console will be flagged on a AP25 challange fail);)

It's never completely safe to go on Xbox Live. But nobody has been banned yet since 1.1 came out.
