I chose to install using the wire install adapater instead of the pin header, and I know all the soldier points are perfect, but when I press the power on, it turns on for 1 second then off and back on for 1 second, then off and back on with red and green lights(around the eject button) flashing(FRAG). Then when I hit the eject button for boot, it disables the x3 as it should, and everything is fine. So i know it's something with the x3 and something wrong with the wire install adapter. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the saaaaame problem with a pin header install. No luck yet, I've just been checking my soldering points a bunch and trying to get somewhere with a multimeter.

i have the same exact problem. i'd do the pin header install if it wasn't so hard to get that solder out of the pre-filled holes.

i had already installed the pin header, but decided to go with the other method just to try it out. but now i just reinstalled the pin header, and the same crap. i either crossed soldier points or screwed up my motherboard.

That is known as FRAG (flashing red and green). You can look around the board and find some symptoms other people had to help nail down your problem. It is most likely a bad solder joint. Try not to be so confident in your soldering, always keep an open mind about it. Also, check your D0, this is a very commmon problem.

Yes, I've done tons and tons of soldering work in the past, so I'm a little egotistical about my soldering work. I did bite the bullet and check my work, I'm up to around my 4th or 5th time.

What I want to know if is threre's anyway I can TEST each one of my points. That way, I can test all these joints that are supposivly done incorrectly. I especially want to know how to test a D0 joint. The friggin' things so small....

any help would be appreciated, I have my multimeter out and ready, I just don't know how/where/when to test. Thanks!

Im not sure y u guys are experiencing problems with x3 & v1.0 i have a 1.0 xbox which has gone through alot of mods im suprised the board still works had a 29 wire mod in it then put it down to a 12 wire mod then matrix then xbit then ozxchip then xenium & now x3 never have had a problem what so ever. Please Please check ur soldering. What i do is melt the solder on the iron tip then toch it onto the pin, the solder runs off the tip & fuses properly have not had a issue at all.

BenQ Flashed - Need to restore

I flashed a BenQ/Samsung drive with JungleFlasher, backed up the older firmware, copied the key and put the new on, and it will not play burned games, and will only read some of my out of box games. Therefore I want to restore it back and try again with a better tutorial. I cannot seem to figure out how to put the original firmware back on. Thanks in advance, I greatly appreciate this!

use jungleflasher.....

device intro
open the original firmware into the target window.
erase the drive
then write
then outro

and it should be returned to stock.

Re: BenQ Flashed - Need to restore

I did this, using the benq-ofw file and it still takes a long time to load games and sometimes wont even load them. Is there something I am doing wrong to flash it back?

Re: BenQ Flashed - Need to restore

reflash it. If that doesnt fix the problem get a new laser. Sometimes I have problems with my liteons 7xxx drives with flashing and the lasers not reading, but that is because of not getting the calibration data. That is why now I do the mra hacks for all liteons.

Re: BenQ Flashed - Need to restore

Is there anyway I could have done the reflash wrong to cause this to happen without it being a hardware issue? And is their anyway I can just buy a new drive and flash the original firmware to it? Or will it need to be done differently?
