xbox-v1 with extra board covering the lpc

My box is finally working. I had to disconect the power eject button adapter and reinsert it straight to the mother board to get the eject button to work again.

This is a picture of the box I am trying to do now. I havent read anything about it so I'm wondering what it is and if I should just remove it? has anyone seen this before?

sorry guys. as it turns out the kid had a sh*tty chip installed allready. the stickers underneath were still good so it confused me quite a bit.
