LITEON 83850 v1 xbox will not update

hi all flashed my xbox a few times now my latest flash was lt 1.9.1 tried playing dead island and disc said needs to update my xbox so i let the game update and it stopped half way through . Read up about this and found out that i had to flash my liteon back to stock then update then reflash . So i have flashed my drive back to stock and tried to update but still no joy please any help would be gratefully appreciated thanks . This is what is on the screen
CANT FIND THE UPDATE FROM DISC . PLEASE REINSERT THE DISC TO CONTINUE THE UPDATE.

HOW MANY FRELLIN' TIMES IS THIS GOING TO BE HAVE TO BE EXPLAINED ?

1ST OFF, as you've flashed the drive back to STOCK, it will no longer read the dodgy backup copy of DEAD ISLAND that you updated from, so there is one of two things to do

1,,, get a REAL copy & do the update, then reflash your 360 afterwards, back to CFW
2,,, download the latest '59 dashboard from XBL on a usb penderive, then do the update, then reflash your 360 back to CFW

If you try update to latest 13599 Dashboard and still have the error, try 13146 Dashboard.

Really ? You put your original in ? Can you show us a picture of the original disc? Maybe its different from mine ?

When people bring me theirs after messing it up. I put my original in. Update then download the newest update from Xbox

Then I reflash them.

Original works for me.

As Golden Savage said, I had the exact same scenario the other day from Dead Island. I had the same error as you ( the OP ). Customer brought it around. Flashed it to stock ( think it was 7x L-O ) then popped my retail copy of the game and voila. update successfull. then updated the dash to131599 and then LT 1.91. Simples
