XBOX without CD DRIVE?

What bios am i going to need in order to be able to boot without the system looking for the drive. Want to do a mod and need the drive gone.

What mod could you possibly do that would require the DVD drive to be gone?

I'm not positive...but I'd bet almost any recent BIOS has this feature. I know the X3 BIOS does ... because I boot without my DVD all the time

Well you could build a lan box where a dvd drive is useless.
Another is i live off my FTP, file transfers etc. Mod case so that it's smaller, no need for dvd drive. As it is right now i have a EvoxM7 in my brothers box, his drive is dead, (not even a year, and its phillips) Was trying to piggyback a PC drive in place of Xbox drive. I have the tut and i've done it with other drives, so i know it works. By doin this will allow me to read everything and make everything load much faster. But for the reason right now, is i need to back up games to this box so i don't have to worry about my little brother bugging the hell out of me until he gets a new drive. I don't know how well i explained myself as im going off a bit but if anyone is interested in the TUT then send me a PM and i will send it to you.

NandPro taking forever to dump

has anyone else had nandpro take a while to dump the nand off their mobo? i read somewhere that its supposed to take about a half hour to dump, but for me its been 2 hours already and its only half way done... im using the lpt cable method on a xenon mobo

it's 36 minutes if it's taking longer something isn't write and check your
connections to make sure they are correct.

and the dump should end at 3FFF

ive seen a couple different ways, some using resistors and some using diodes to the holes next to the hdd port... which one would you recommend?
