ok, I was VERY careful in installing the X3 in to this xbox. Everything is in place and tested with a multimeter and checks out fine. I did the LPC rebuild and pin header install. It FRAGS with xmas lights with or without the modchip. I have no clue what is wrong. I have had friends come over to look at it, and they can't figure it out either. Can anyone help me out?

xb0xm0dz, why did you tell him that, that is not what this site is for. It is for helping ppl fix there problem, not telling them how to cheat a store.

ok, here's the latest...the xbox turns itself on when the power is plugged into it. All of my pins on the header are correct and getting the right voltage that they need (i have read on several sites that most of the pins should have 3.3V on them) The D0 is correct too. BOth of the blue LEDs on the X3 light up which tells me that i am getting correct voltage to the chip. When power is plugged up, the box will boot 3 times then FRAG. With the chip out, the box boots fine to the xbox OS and bios. I am really confused on what is going on. Any suggestions?

PS. thx for the help above....lol

is it a 1.6 board? if so did you use the lpc rebuild board? try taping the bottom of the pin header.... mine was grounding out before i taped it. (tape as in electrical tape)

yeah, i put some electrical tape on the bottom of it. Still getting the same things. I have no clue what's going on. The external bios bank doesn't light up and the xbox turns itself on. I dont wanna be a n00b and try to get it replaced, but not I or any of my xbox buddies can figure this one out. We have tried it in 2 xboxes and nothing has worked.

Help booting Slax 2.1 from IDE drive

I've been trying to flash a hitachi 78FK for the past few hours, but slax doesn't seem to detect it and is not putting it into mode b. It is detected in the bios section and I changed the sata configuration to native/ide. I think that the problem comes from booting slax through a dvd drive plugged into an ide connection and not a sata connection. Am I correct? If not, then what am I doing wrong?

have you tried jungleflasher?

it is a much better program

as for slax, it doesn't matter where you boot from

most chipsets can be used to flash the hitachi drives just make sure your using the primary sata port the one your hdd uses and follow the jf tut you cant really go wrong
