Xbox wont Play DVDS

I have to turn off the mod to watch a DVD. Also I cant play any Japanese Movies on my Xbox either.

no, like I said I have to turn off the mod to be able to play DVDS and I cant play Japanese DVDs, how can I fix that

Check out X3 Bios menu. You should be able to tweak the settings by NTSC/PAL Settings.

If you try to boot the DVD from evox, it won't work unless you have dvdx2 installed the the corresponding folder at the top of the evox.ini file, or you have chosen to point to a different meadia player (you can also use the original which is compatable with the remote). But if it won't play in XBMC, I'm not sure what the problem is...(bump)

what dashboard do you have? ava has a built in dvd player that works for me.
