Description of problem: My problem is that when I put in a game disk into the disk tray, it only shows up as "Open Tray" although the disk tray is closed and the game is in the Xbox.

Was the console working before you started: Y/N

Do you get a green debug light appear on the RGH chip every 4-5 seconds: Y

How long is the light on for each time: 1

Open tray is usually the laser.
If u have took the console apart and put it back together and it was working before I would also check your cables going into the dvd drive.

Pop a dvd into the drive and check whether it reads - I recently had an issue where I rebuilt a nand and did not remove the files from JRunner resulting in the wrong dvd key being written to a console. Alternatively it could be as GeekHeat says...laser issues

Wrong DVD key would result in "play DVD" or " play game"(without DVD image) on the dashboard. Depends if its xgd2 or xgd3 game.

It finally works, it was a cable that was not plugged in all the way to the motherboard lol. But that you all for responding with the helpful answers.
