xbox wont start at all!

i have installed modchips before but this is my first time with the x2.6. after the installation it wont start at all! i had som problems with the d0 point at the lpc rebuilder or whats it called.. the builder wasnot that close as i would like to the d0 point, and i used some time to try to make it connect and i quess i heated it to much. it wont make contact for som reason so i tryed to just make a wire from the d0 point directly to the rebuilder, when i was finished i removed the tape that i used to hold the wire in possision, and then i think the whole d0 point with the wire disconnected from the mainboard! (just the little ring) else seems fine

i dont think anyting else then that little point is damaged.

no light, no hdd spin, no fan, no dvd, nothing at all will start!

is this the real problem, or is there other things that wont let my xbox turn on?

is it hard to fix or must i buy a new one ?

If this is an Xbox 1.6/1.6b, you may have blown a small transistor which is very easy to remove and replace (http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/1.6_Xbox_no_power.htm). I know it sounds stupid, but make sure your power is plugged in to both the motherboard and the wall. Also make sure your surge protector isn't off.

Check the power/eject button cable, the yellow one by the usb connector on the front right side of the motherboard.
