Cool the more the better. Right now I need someone to get up a list of all the things I will need to buy to build the case. I am going to make it by hand using 1/8 plastic and epoxy then I will just sand it down to make it smooth then prime it :) Get me a list of where I can get these things and how much ;) Man I need sleep so I am off laterz. BTW GET IN THE IRC CHANNEL YOU CAN get ahold of me.

So what you are saying is that you have this great idea, and made some pictures up in paint shop, but apart from that are clueless how to do this, but have "mad keen mod skillz" ...

1. 1/8" plastic - are you referring to acrylic or lucite? Are you looking for the stuff you can buy at Home Depot, or the better stuff you get at usplastics.com?
2. Electrical - if its a laptop, you'll want a battery. If its a portable, you can reuce the size by puting the power supply externally. If its a battery, you'll want the power supply external as well, but have a means to charge the battery. What are your electronic skills like? Think you can design and build a power regulator and trickle charging mechanism?
3. Grounding - all that "plastic". Hope you have considered a means of earthing the unit. You "should" be ale to do this via the power supply, but will probably want to shield the unit as well.
4. LCD - Before you go too far, make sure you can interface the LCD to the Xbox. Not all LCDs are created equal. Some will take VGA or NTSC signals natively, others need a lot more work to get running. Do your research first (you'll get a better picture for the Xbox on a VGA screen than an NTSC "TV" output).

For case mods (especially clear acrylic), check out www.hardforums.com (provided you SEARCH before asking questions, the case mod forums and electronic forums are full of helpful people), www.bit-tech.net, and www.mashie.org.

Think it through ... I wish you all the best on this project, but you need to give it some more though first.

We are thinking of moving the power supply into a black box witch will be on the out side of the unit connected the to AC cable. I am okay with Electronics. Also I plan on changing out the heat sinks with smaller ones with fans, then including one fan on top pullin air into the case and one on bottom to pull air out or maybe I will do it left to right. I got my LCD now I need a CONTROLLER FOR IT :) anyways I am having FUN with this... oh btw on the plastic not sure there I am new to that sort of thing.
