xbox1.6, Xecuter 2.6ce, bios ok ish, NO DASH thou!

please excuse this if its a dumb question, but read all the tuts/forumns etc and still not sure. i have a V1.6 xbox. i installed the xecuter 2.6ce with lpc rebuild and remote fine, and used flashbios 3.1 in bank 1 to install x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin, the latest/best bios i think. that went yellow then green so all good. now every time i reboot i get the screen "xecuter 2 config live loading..." then the green flubber, then the xbox/executer rox my box page, and then the MS dash.
Is this normal? does the bios x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin come with any sort of menu before the ms dash?
do i have to do anything to force it to boot from cd?
i have now been trying to install latest evox(from xbins), and i have ripped
default.xbe (after renaming)
evox.ini
dummy file(various sizes)
onto 5 different media (cd-r, cd-rw, dvd-r) but always get the same ms dash/ dirty media screen. is my modchip/bios setup wrong or is my samsung drive being grumpy caus it never boots to evox?

I think that you're very close to complete the installation of your xbox. In relation to the dash, if you could look around a bit more you'll find that the BIOS x2_5035 reads certain files in certain order (eg xbmc first, then evox etc.). DON'T quote me on the order cause I can't remember them. From that information, you should be able to work out what to rename your file/s to.

if you wish to install evox get slayer dvd to install dash or the better one auto installer deluxe 3 dvd

Cheers guys, i guess i got lucky caus tried loads a cdrws to no avail but tried another dvd-r and that booted to slayers evox. so try dvd-r - they seem better!
