Xbox360 Slim Hack

Hi all,

I just got a Xbox360 4gb Slim (http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/pd/productID.216677300). From the DVD Tray it looks like a Philips-LiteOn 16D4S drive. I want to hack, either RGH or JTAG, so that I can play downloaded games from an external hard drive. I don't care about playing online. I would prefer not buying a modchip and am comfortable soldering.

I have seen tutorials and videos for the classic xbox360 but can't find a detailed tutorial that is guaranteed to work with the newer slim.

Also I have seen videos of people jtagging using a usb (no opening) which looks fake but I was wondering if this is possible.

Slims don't have BenQ drives. Also jtag USB videos are all fake.

:facepalm: I would read forum rules! Dont think Slims have Benq drives. Have to open it up to see.

Thanks for the quick reply The504 and xboxhack11 ....I haven't opened it up yet but just checked on this website (http://www.360drives.com/list?v_pac...otno=1132x&v_hdmi=2&v_country=US&v_perpage=50) and it says I should have a Philips-LiteOn 16D4S
