Hello all am new to this site. :)

I need some help with is this!
I have got a old Xbox 1 what i have installed a new hard drive in it what is a 750GB IDE.
I like to have a F partition and no G partition but i like to have the F partition with all the space.

So i have formatted the F partition with 64K clusters as it as given me alot of space.

I do not know if i am doing it right as i have looked on some sites and they say you need to format it with 32k clusters, not 64k clusters. But some sites say you need to format it with 64k clusters.

My Xbox is running fine. With a lot of space on the F partition. I have got over 130 Games on it.
All running fine. But only some are running slow.

The thing that i like to know if i am doing this right is. When i turn the Xbox on. It takes some time for it to boot into XBMC. Is that Fine? :(

hello, i take it you mean the first xbox console,i would say the reason for possible slow booting games and for xbmc taking time to load up or run slow etc, could now be due to your ide cable,as i bet you never changed that when you upgraded your hdd ?.

Yes you are right. I am talking about the first xbox console.
It's same cable what it had when i have got the Xbox way back in 2003.

I do not know if it is the cable as be for i had format the F partition to 64K clusters it was format to 16 clusters from a HD hard drive maker i have used to make the hard drive.
And i did not have any games on the hard drive at the time.
It was running fine then. So i do not know if it is formatting the F partition to 64K clusters what as done it.
As installing all the games may have made it slow.

What do you all say it best to format the F partition.
Do you say 64K clusters is to big for my drive or something.

Thank you. :)
