Xbreboot works fine, freeboot jingles all the way!..

Hey guys,

I've been trying to fix my xbox forever..

I bought this xbox from someone who gave me the wrong NANDS. no he doesn't return my calls...

oh well, lemme try and use a donor nand. well, xbreboot works just fine (8955), but when i try and update to freeboot, no mather what i try i get christmas lights.

First the xbox wouldn't start at all. this is because i tried to flash it into the latest dash. as i've said before the NANDS he gave me where wrong... so this resulted into a bad flash.. the xbox wouldn't start at all. I was completely new to the whole jtagging, so at first i've sent the xbox to an expert. unfortunatly he only managed to get xbreboot to work. after hours trying he gave up hope and returned my xbox.

I now have nand-x installed in order to flash fast and easily. got the working xbreboot out of the xbox, 3 times, compared all of them, they are all just fine.

btw, why the H*** does it give me a read error at 313 with freeboot while xbreboot doesn't show me this...

Getting Christmas lights, Freeboot 9199



Used 360 flash tool to get SMC, KV and Config out of the working xbreboot NAND. Injected into the freeboot image which gave me the christmas lights. Gonna test this out.

Got 3 RROD's, Black screen



Used the nand which worked just fine (xbreboot 8955) patched it in bestpig 2.4. then patched that image with bestpig 2.6. btw. filled in the cpu key which xell showed me. written this image to the NAND.

Getting Christmas lights, while reading the NAND which has just been written it gives me a read error at bank 313. tried this twice. gives me the same error. tried xbreboot again, read it, no reading errors...


managed to get freeboot 0.30 9199 working....

everything above doesn't work.

Have you tried the application XBR3 to Freeboot for making a freeBOOT image?

trying this out right now. tut wasn't really clear (the readme file provided within xbr3 to freeboot) so i clicked everything. writing the nand atm.

well i managed to get 9199 to work, but trying to update this witg bestpig gives me the christmas lights... so i'm guessing this is because the KV has been modified.

First, did you get the 9199 dash with the file I sent you? If yes, boot the console as normal and dump the NAND via flash360. Next use jtag tool v2.12 to update to 12611 using the dumped NAND as source.

finally, flash the new image via flash360 again ... Pronto !

Hi i m on the same boot. have falcon running XBR3 but not having original nand. every times i try every tutorial and my xbox ended up with critusmus light .
i tyr easy XBR3 to freeboot also but same result

my xbox is also falcon CB5770

the above files are not available anymore .

please help
