XCM add-on fan.......

Hi, i was wanting to add the xcm add on fan to cool my cpu and gpu. I didnt know if you need to have the xcm cooling kit in order to use it, because i think ive seen youtube videos and others that only have the xcm add on fan. Does anyone have this fan or can tell me if it works by itself?

i can say that the fan on its own works good ...the ones you plug in the back of your box dont work!!!

I have one and it came with the adapter to power it.
