one other that i came accros, was the instructions supplied with XeBuild state that you can use your old freeboot image to create the new freeboot image, this did not work for me and I ended up using my stock nand image and it worked.
Did you use stock nand image 13604 or 14699?

not sure if this is at fault or dashlaunch 2.7, since doing both I have seen a solid red llight on the front of console 3 times after glitching, yet now its working fine?? anybody else experince anything like this?

I have actually used it for a couple of hours this morning with no issue

@Sean Yesterday I created a 13604 image from a 14699 dash and the bizarre thing is it booted just fine but the on button gave me a solid red dot everytime. Turned it off and on about 5 times and it went back to green. Is that the same kind of thing as you're describing?

no, its odd though as its been working and used a lot in the last few days and then after doing the above, worked fine for a while, then turned it and it must have glitched as the CR stopped flashing green, but then Im greeted with a solid red light and no output to screen, now working again and nothing has changed.

Would you mind to explain please :)
Sure.
When you extract xeboot you are a main folder with many folders inside of it. There you will have a 14699 folder where you should dump the file system files, not the extracted microsoft udpate. I was dumping the microsoft 14600 update in there, which was the wrong thing to do. After placing in the correct files I was able to build my xebuild image and am now on 14699 :D.

I didnt have a problem whatsoever. I used the stock (untouched) nand dump i originally dumped of 13604 to create the ggbuild image for 13604. So basically used the stock 13604 nand dump and used it with xebuild to create my xebuild image for 14699. It would probably be best to use your original nand dump rather than an old ggbuild image.

Many thanks to afiser!

i've built my image to be flashed... whats the best software flasher to use?
to flash from usb stick.
I used the xenon.elf file included with Rogero's 360multibuilder.

Basically put the xenon.elf file in the root of your flash drive (Make sure there is nothing else on there) and take your newly created image, rename it nandflash.bin , copy it over to your flash drive, insert the flash drive on your 360's usb port, and boot into xell by pressing the eject button (not the power button) and give the system a second and it will do everything for you.

I hope this helps.

thats exactly what I did, its working fine at the minute, there is no problem with my freeboot image, like I said it may be an issue with Dashlaunch

I also believe that dash launch 2.27 has issues. When I'm on FSD and put a game in the drive I get the "xbox DVD" display rather than the cover of the game in the blade. Once I go back to the nxe the game boots well. When playing Batman AC my system just shuts down. I have a Liteon drive on my Jasper. Maybe it is a similar problem that Rogero wrote about in his nfo when he updated multi builder to v4 (and used dashlaunch 2.25 instead of 2.26).

Other than that all works great, games boot off external and internal HDD.

I can confirm that my problem was down to a fautly switch on CR, resolved now though:)
Faulty switch or cr? Elaborate please :)
Nevermind, got it.
Can u try booting a batman AC disk to see it that works for u on a phat model? My system shuts down with that game if played via the DVD drive. God format works well.
