Xecuter 2.6 Bios help

Hello all,

I've had my Xecuter 2.6 modchip for a while now, however, a while ago, I believe I flashed the wrong bios, and now my xbox only works when I boot using my modchip on bank 2. If I turn the modchip off, I get the service message from M$. On bank 2 (the one that works) I have an evox bios, but now I want to fix bank 1 so I can install a X2 bios on it. I thought I'd use flashbios, but when I start my xbox on bank 1, I get the eject button flashing red and green...

I tried using BiosChecker 5.0 to see what kind of bios I have installed but the results show me stuff that I actually have no idea about. It says that I have 2 512K bioses, both of which are unknown. It also says that I have 4 256K bioses, the first one it says it's Xecuter2 4983.67 (which is weird since I never see the bootscreen that says xecuter2) and the other 3 are all unknown.

I was also considering flashing it using Slayer's CD, but I'm afraid I'll screw up the one bank I have working and then I'll be stuck with a useless xbox....

Any help/advice in order to fix my bank 1 would be greatly appreciated. I'm not really concerned about the service screen when my modchip is off since I don't use Xbox Live, so my modchip is always on anyway.

One last thing, if it's any help, I'm trying to install X2 5035, and I have no access to a programmer.

use a app called flashx2 to flash your chip ftp it to you xbox put in apps folder then ftp the x2 bios to xbox placeing it into a folder in flashx2 called bios the reboot xbox in bank 2 then switch back to 1 then use flashx2 to reflash you chip
x2 5035 v1.0 to v1.5 xbox
x2 5035 v16 plus v1.6 v1.6b xboxs

Thanks a lot for the quick reply.... I looked for that flashX 2 program, but so far the only version I've been able to find is 1.2. Is that one ok? I haven't tried it because it doesn't say it's compatible with XBOX v1.6.... I'll keep trying to find v.2 of FlashX, but if I can't, is it safe to use v1.2? Thanks again!

I decided to give it a shot using 1.2 and it worked like a charm.... or so it seemed for a bit of time, until I tried a few games and they crashed... so I guess my only option is to find v2 of flashX... I checked "the usual place" but it seems like they only have version 1.2 ... any suggestions?

The screen goes black&white and the image starts moving up and down.... kinda like a ****ty cable TV signal.

I will check xbins again for the file.... but in case I can't find it, am I allowed to ask what the path on the FTP is? Thanks!

but when I boot using the other bank (and the bios that worked), all the games run perfectly... that's why I'm thinking it was due to flashx 1.2 not being compatible with either my xbox console version (1.6) or my modchip (Xecuter2.6)

try flashing the chip with flashbios useing flashx then use flashbios to reflash with x2 bios

I am working on a box with a 2.6 bios and I need to reflash it but the xbox won't turn on (error 11). do the 2.6 chips work the same way as the x3's where you push power and eject to get to the flashbios or is there a different way?
Is there a way to flash the bios on a x2 (without a programmer) if the xbox doesnt turn on?

Any help is appreciated

no x2 dont have backup
try bank 2 for flashbios

If bank 2 fails it's a programmer or a hot swap.

But... Error 11 is no DVD drive detected. Have you done any investigation into this problem?

well I have switched cables, dvd drives, tried with a different chip (x3) and tried with no chip. The only time I got a different error was when I tried with no chip (error 5 because hd is not locked). I have yet to get a successful boot on this xbox. I noticed that whan I put in the xapt3r that I get no lights (maybe no power to the LPC) and now I broke my solderless adapter screw!!!!!11. I don't think I can buy just that specialty screw but I will check around.
I have tried the second bank but I still don't have any backup bios. I am begining to think that it is not the chip.
I am going to look around to find out what pins I should check for power. If I don't have power I have no idea what I should be checking.
any other suggestions or tips are still welcome!! help me fix the xbox from hell

use the screw out of mother board it works better then xapter
if your not geting any light on xapter then its not a good install
