Hi there , I just recieved my X2.6 from xecuter.com.au

Install was great - Can boot ms dash - and when chip is enabled can boot to flashbios 2.6.0

I have loaded the 5035 bios onto my C:/Bios folder on my factory HDD.

When I go to Flash via HDD - It says C:/Bios found... in yellow and just hangs .

My solder joints are all fine - Anyone know why this would be happening?

I cant flash via http either because it is not supported on this version of flashbios ( Same version on bank 1 and 2 ) .

And I do not have access to nero - What can I do ?

Hope this is something simple - I was a bit worried about all of the soldering but it really was not that hard - To be held up by a small bios issue is really annoying.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hadoken - the 2.6 should have had FlashBIOS 3.0.x on it - I suggest you update bank 2 with FlashBIOS 3.0.3 via FlashX at the earliest convenience, so at least you have the option in the future to flash via HTTP.

Is this always recommended? I have my v1.6 Xbox that I just loaded x2_5035 onto Bank 2 and I left Evox_M8 on Bank 1. Should I overwrite Bank 1 with x2_5035 and then put FlashBIOS onto my Bank 2?

If for any reason you need to reflash the chip, it's easier to do this from flashBIOS. The Evox BIOS isn't as good as X2 (and the practically do the same thing), so as you suggested put X2 on bank1 and FlashBIOS on bank2. As long as you only flash 512k BIOSes, you can leave FlashBIOS alone.
