Hey Everyone!
1st post! I have an Xecuter 2.6 ordered that should be here this week. I have 2 Xbox's, a ver. 1.0 and a 1.6b. My 1.0 works fine and is waiting to be modded, and the 1.6 is "dead" from a failed softmod, it boots to "Error 9". I was wondering if installing the X 2.6 CE will be able to maybe install a new HDD. I know how to use XboxHDM, but without a backup of the EEPROM, I can't lock the new HDD. My question is can the chip lock a XboxHDM made unlocked HDD in a verion 1.6b Xbox?
Any info would be great!

install chip in v1.6b with solderless xapter
flash with bios to bank 1 x2 5035 v16 plus
rebuild hard drive using auto installer deluxe 3.10 reinstall MS dash
lock hard drive (if hard drive is unlocked you don,t need the key it will be given a new one when locked)
remove chip if you wish to use it in the v1.0

Thanks for the help!
But I don't have the solderless Xapter ordered, but I've read what I'll be getting in the box w/ my X2.6CE, I'll use the wire install on the ver. 1.0(LPC is filled in w/ solder) and I'll use the pinheader on the 1.6b w/ LPC rebuild. So the install on the 1.6b would need a bit more soldering (LPC rebuild, pinheader, Lan, HD and d0 wires) I'm sure I can do this, I've done PS2's before(ChipMod+)
I've never read about the auto installer deleuxe, is this a download? I've got the Evox disc ready for my Xbox now, any chance that that could do it?
I would have tried the save game exploit (I have the original MA), but I got no way of getting the save on to the HD, no mem card or AR. I tried to make a "Homemade AR" I made up the female USB and the controller plugin, and got it to recognise my flashdrive in the Xbox. But then when I put the save on it w/ AR or MaxDrive, the Xbox wouldn't read it. When I'd go to plug it in, the light on the drive would flash once, and the memory screen screen would flicker to dark, but nothing would come back up, no memory card. Could it be an incompatible flash drive? Mine's not listed on the compatible or incompatible, its a Lexar JD FireFly 1GB. When the Xbox reads it, it says 50000+ blocks, so I'm guessing that it reads it well, but there is no "Copy" only an "Erase". Could the flash drive be too big/incompatible? And I've read that Lexar's aren't the best for thsi kind of stuff...
Sorry for the long post!
