I have a 1.6 XBox and have a Xecuter 2.6 CE Solderless installed on it. I didn't trust myself enough to try and install it myself, so I had somebody else (who has experience modding consoles) install it for me.
I got this done almost exactly a week ago, and the xbox has been running perfectly fine for the past week. I was able to play backed-up games and ftp into the xbox from my pc.
This morning when I tried to power on the XBox, it wouldn't work. It starts to power on, then shuts itself off, powers itself back on, turns back off, and then finally powers on for good, except nothing show up on my TV. The eject button flashes between colors after it turns on for good (an option I had set), but the menu won't show up, I can't ftp into it, and it won't boot off of any DVDs. I can't even open the DVD drive!
I turned off the chip and the xbox works fine. Is there a problem with my hard drive (corrupt files?) or my hardware? If I was thinking of opening it up and making everything is where it should be, but I don't know what it should be. Are there any diagrams available that I would be able to easily look at an check if everything is in place?
I'd really appreciate any help I can get with this.
