Xecuter 2.6 CE works and then wont boot up

okay here it is. i have a version 1.1 xbox and a Xecuter 2.6 CE fitted. I have been having problems. I'll play a game for a while and then turn it off. When i turn it back on again it tries to boot up three times and then the circle above the power button flashes red. I open the case up and make sure the chip and everything is secure and then close it up again. It'll usually work after this. So i'll play a game again for a while and then turn it off and when i come back to it it does the same thing! i'm going crazy! i hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

What do you mean? Its solderless if thats what u mean. It works fine but then gives up for some reason until i open the box up again

It is a problem with the way the solderless adaptor is seated. Did you clean the LPC area before installing it?

yes i cleaned it before installing it. To be honest i think it might be over heating. I played it last night and then stopped, tried to turn it back on and it wouldnt work. Then i turned it on this morning and it was fine, but as soon as i switched it off and on again it gave up on me. I need help! lol

If it were overheating it would shut off when the CPU reached 61°C.

It is a problem with the installation of the xaptor.
