Xecuter 2.6 CE + Xapt3r 1.6: totally solderless?

It is the first time I install a solderless kit on a 1.6 XBOX.
I took a look at the various tutorials and it seems very easy.
The only thing I don't understand is if I still have to use the D0/LAN/HDD cable provided with he modchip to make the HDD and LAN leds (the ones on the external switch) working.

you do not need to use it but if you wish to have h/d led and lan led then you will have to solder them on you don,t need to solder the D0 wire put to one side taped up
