Hi!
I have just installed xecuter 2.6 on my Xbox 1.4 and everything seem right. I get the blue screen up and I have flashed the Bios from a CD. But when I restart the Xbox after I have flashed the Bios v. 3.03 I get an Error-screen. Error 13 and the screen looks messed up. Anyone who can help me?? Please..

sounds like you flashed flashbios over flashbios, if not which bios did you flash, and did you put a new hdd in as well?

13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail

Is it important to Flash the Bios with the original XBox HD inside? Before I install the new HD?

Um, there is no reason to flash FlashBIOS with FlashBIOS. You will gain nothing. In fact, it may mess things up, as 3.0.3 has problems with non 1.6 boards. Get a new dash on #xbins. There are tuts everywhere.

Why won't it let me edit?

Anyway, I made a mistake. Although what I said (flashing FlashBIOS with FlashBIOS is stupid) is true, if you go and flash it with a dashboard, then that'll mess things up even more.

Get the proper BIOS for your chip, flash it as you were doing before (if you can still access a working FlashBIOS), and get any dashboard (Evox is the easiest for noobs) and FTP it over to your Xbox. Look on the forums. There should be flashing guides, dashboard guides, and FTPing guides.

EDIT: Now it lets me edit.... *sigh*

You are only allowed to edit for a short period of time after you post.

You don't need to flash with the original drive in there. It really doesn't make a difference. You will get an error if you haven't formatted your new drive and installed a dashboard.
