Xecuter 2.6 install help....Help!!!!!

Hi gang!!!
I am at wits end!!! I ordered (3) xecuter 2.6 chips. I have been trying to no avail to install them. I have a ver 1.0 and a 1.6. I have tried everyting I can think of to get them going. I get no led light on the chip, and the xbox still powers to the retail dash. On the ver 1.6, I used the SPICE adapter, but my problem here may be the red wire that provides power. The version 1.0 is using the xapter solderless. I've istalled several Xenium's in the past, but was told this was a step up, but if I can't get it to work it seems like a step back!!

Any and all advice will be accepted!!!:(:(:(

OK, I'll try that! Makes a lot of sense. What about the version 1.0. Same problem, chip seems to have no power!

yes the spice for the xenium only needs 12 pins where the x3 needs 17 pins just see if your spice has 16 or 18 not 100% but it should have the 5v pin.
The v1.0 you will need a plain solderless the part you use for v1.6 xbox go over your shoulder keep it in a safe place just in case you update to v1.6 xbox so the x3 solderless would be the way to go there but the spice is a good solderless for v1.6 as i have fitted some and there system is great better then x3 solderless more stable as far as no power it should work as the 5v part is the part you don,t use in a v1.0 xbox check that you use the right parts space or washers change from one xbox to the other

OK gang!!! ALmost there!!! I missed the part where I had to plug the switch and cable to the chip. Chip is powered up but I boot to M$ dash, and then to"service required" What am I doing wrong??!! What are the switch settings, and what leds should I see?:(:(:(
