Hi I have a v1.1 XBox and I bought an XeCuter 2.6 CE chip with solderless Xapter.

I installed the Xapter and MOD chip, and I also flashed my bios, a 3.0.3.
I have the slayer evox installer on a dvd and I have bank 1 on, flash protection on, and chip enabled on. But when I turn on the xbox with the chip enabled, then the system doesnt read my DVD R with the Slayer EVOX Auto Installer software, it automatically goes to an error of either 06, or 16.
I was the one that soldered the chip in and did the rest of the installations, but my friend was the one who flashed the bios and put the slayer evox on a dvd.

Please help me out on this one. Thanks

You need to flash an X2 bios first before you can boot to Slayer's Evox Autoinstaller...I recommend "X2_5035_vOld_512K.bin" for your xbox version because this is the best bios for X2 chips so far. After flashing, you can boot using the Slayer's auto-installer...Good Luck!:)

are you flashing, flashbios over flashbios?
you need to flash a hacked bios to your chip
as stated above the X2 5035 is recommended to do the job
be sure to flash the appropriate version of the bios to your chip
vOld - 1.0-1.5
v16plus - 1.6/1.6b

The X2 bios doesn't have an FTP server in it. There are two ways to get a new dashboard.
1. Make a boot disc with a dashboard that supprts FTP, and then FTP your dash and apps to the Xbox.
2. Get Slayer's and have that install your dashboard.

No, it is not supposed to stop at the Xbox logo. It should boot the Microsoft dashboard if the bios cannot find any of the dashboards listed in the config file.
