OK, I have spend countless hours on trying to this and that is why I am here. I know how to solder pretty well, and right now, the xbox boots up normally with chip disabled, thankfully. But, of course when the chip is enabled, I get a FRAG on a v1.6b board using a wire installation w/out using the PCB rebuild. I followed the guide on this forum where I solder the wires into some very tiny holes/resistors. I am pretty sure they are all conected. I am not using the backup 5v wire used in pin headers.
The reason why I am using wires and not the pin header is becuase I found out too late that the xbox was indeed a 1.6 and I managed to pull out all the pins. The only thing is that I installed the pins backwards, meaning I soldered the tops of the pins in on the front side of the mobo and not the small lenght side of the pins on the bottom of the mobo; if that makes sense at all....
I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything, so I pulled out those pins and then put the wires directly into their correstponding holes, which were only a few holes on the tutorial I followed. Most of the pins are out xecept for 2 of them and the black bottom support for the pins is still in......
Any help would be appreciated
