xecuter 2.6 with xapter install problems

So about a year ago I installed an Xecuter 3 chip with xapter solderless adapter on my version 1.0 and everything worked fine and still runs fine.

My friend asked me to mod his xbox. I opened it up and determined it was a 1.6 and bought the xecuter 2.6ce chip with xapter solderless connection for the 1.6. i installed everything and flashed the bios via http. However I wasn't thinking and just used my bios that I used for my v1.0 and x3 chip. Now when i turn it on it reboots twice and then FRAG's. It does this on either bank. Also when i disable the chip it FRAG's and goes to the error screen. Does anybody know what I can do from here to flash the correct BIOS onto this chip? Also exactly which BIOS should I use? REP points for anyone that helps me out.

I ordered a programmer and will give that a shot when it gets here. Hopefully that will fix my issue. Also when I was flashing I wasn't thinking and went down to the unlock HDD option and unlocked the HDD. Yea I know this was dumb to do, but is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the programmer earlier in the week so hopefully it's here before the weekend. I'll post my results.

So the programmer can in on Tuesday and I was able to flasht the correct bios and get everything up and running. Thanks to all that helped out. I used Slayer's auto install for the first time and I must say that for a new user it is one of the best routes to go. Now I just have one more question. I am trying to FTP into the xbox so that I can put some things on there. However I can't seem to connect to it. I've done the network thing before with my v1.0 and x3 chip and can do everything fine, but not with this 2.6ce chip. Does anyone have any input on this. I am using 192.168.1.200 for the ip address but i'm not sure about the user name and password. I've tried xbox and xbox for the username and password and I've tried slayers_evox and xbox for username and password, but I can't get either to work. Please help.

I know how to FTP into my other xbox so I do know the basics. I set my static ip on my pc to 192.168.1.99 and the xbox ip is 192.168.1.200. Looking at the error message it appears that I'm getting in and the username and password is recognized, but then I get the error. I might try A.I.D. to see how that works, but I don't know if it will solve the problem or not.

I tried my exact same setup with FlashFXP and it worked. Don't know exactly why, but I guess my problem is solved.
