Xecuter 2.6 Xbox 1.3 Solderless Adaptor

I am having trouble getting an Xecuter 2.6 working with a solderless adpator. I followed the install tutorial on xbox-modchips.com http://www.xbox-modchips.com/tutorials/xapter.htm

The chip will not power on and the xbox will not boot to the chip. The xbox will boot to the MS dashboard when the chips is switched off. Also the blue light will not come on on the chip showing there is no power to the chip. There are three connection plugs on the chip. One being for the switches, one being for the HDD, and the last is for the LAN. The only connection I made was for the switches. Do I need to connect the HDD and LAN as well? What am I doing wrong that I can not get the chip to power on? Help please.

The D0 connection is in the correct place for a v1.3 and the solderless adaptor is seated completely on the motherboard.

You do not need the HDD/LAN for the chip to work. With the chip hooked up and switched on do you get anything? If not, I would make sure the Xapter is seated properly.

Thanks for the reply.

I made sure the chip was seated well and the D0 connection was seated well as well. I heard the D0 click as it was inserted. While installing the connector I made sure it was pushed down completely.

Is it possible the chip is bad?

Do you get any lights in the solderless adaptor?

The adpator is solid black and doesn't have lights on it.

make sure you've seated the chip on the xapter properly lining it up with the proper pins

use this tutorial to see how the chip is seated on the xapter's pins
