Xecuter 2.6CE evox bios issue

Not sure what happened? This was my 8th mod, but never with an xecuter chip. Used an Xecuter 2.6CE on a 1.6 Xbox with lpc rebuild board.

Installed everything perfectly. I turned on the xbox and got the bios setup screen. I used the http to load my evox bios (never a problem on xeniem chips). The bios loaded just fine and shutdown. All I have to do is boot up and it'll work right? Not.

The chip lights up, but the xbox led turns on then off 3 times (makes sounds like the cd rom wants to spool up) then starts blinking green and red.

I went back and triple checked my soldering. All good. I think it maybe the bios but not sure. Tried to boot up with bank 2. No luck.

I can't even get xecuter bios screen. Do I need to get a programmer and reflash? Any help would be great. Thanks.

What size was your bios? Sounds like you have a 1.6. On bank 2 there should be flashbios 3.03, but that doesn't work real well with a 1.6. You could try hot swapping the chip, or get a programmer.

When you do get it fixed, do yourself a favor and use X2 5035 for your bios instead of evox.

The evox bios I used was 1,048,576 bytes (1 MB).

I though that if it didn't work I'd still have the 2 bank. I guess I'll just have to get a programmer, fix the bios and then install X2 5035.

The Xbox works well with the chip off.

Does that mean that the problem is just with the bios and nothing else?

Yes, it means it was a bad flash.
