Xecuter 2.6ce first install

Hello i wish i could get some help on my first install. I installed the chip according to the tutorial and whn i power on the chip lights up but the xbox powers on and off 3 times and i get a blank screen. I checked the points but i dont see any bad connections. Please a little help someone??

check for bridged connections within the install and that the swtich cable is properly connected and both end of external switch and chip

Thanks for replying and i did double check for bridged connections but it is still turning on and off when the chip is enabled. When the chip is disabled it boots correctly. Please a little more help.

what you are getting is frag, the install was a bad one if you have cheked the switch,double chek the install again because its proberly that

If with the chip disabled the box works fine but you get a FRAG with the chip enabled, there is no need to recheck the D0 connection. This is what enables the chip, if it wasn't working you would still be booting stock MS BIOS when the chip was enabled.

Check your install, make sure your chip to switch cable plugs are securely plugged in and if you have a multimeter you can check that your switch is working correctly. Look in the X2.6 switch schematic thread that I have linked in my sig, there are direction on testing the switch in there.

thanks for the help everyone, but should i try a wire install better because it is a 1.0 motherboard?

if the lpc holes are already filled, then it would definetly be easier to do a wire install, as you would just heat up the solder and drop the appropriate wire in
