Xecuter 2.6CE & Xaptor in v1.6 query

Hi All

Can those in the know review my plan and point out any obvious flaws, the last modding I did was to a v1.3 with a 2.3lite and 4983 (I think) BIOS

OK, I have been asked to chip a v1.6

The guy has gone for a 2.6CE with Xaptor

I was going to flash it with Evox M8+ BIOS, but after reading a few posts on here, it would seem that the X2 5035 one is the weapon of choice.

I need to create a 1MB (1024) BIOS.BIN from the original 512Kb Bios using X2BMv2.3, so just having it in banks 1&2 then saving it.

Then burn is as BIOS.BIN, but with a Dummy.bin, renamed so the dummy burns first to pad the CD or DVD-ROM out.

I am a bit confused as to the FlashBios 3.0.1 or 3.0.3 thing, if I have the wrong version on the chip, how can I reflash it with the right version?

the use of xbins etc etc is fine, can someone just say if what I proposed seems right

you dont make it into a 1mb file
just burn the x2 5035 v16 plus file to cd-rw or dvd-r rename as bios.bin with dummy file
use flashbios to flash it to chip

if you have a v1.6 xbox you will need to flash bank 2 with flashbios 3.0.1 this is done by flashx2 you will need to get it from xbins then open it while it on your pc but flashbios 3.0.1 into a folder called "bios" then make the app into a iso file burn to cd-rw or dvd-r plase into dvd drive of xbox then flash bank 2 with flashbios 3.0.1
you will only need to do this if you have a v1.6 xbox
if you have a v1.6b then flashbios 3.0.3 will work ok on bank 2

flashbios 3.0.1 bank 1 works on v1.0 to v1.6 xbox but not v1.6b xboxs
flashbios 3.0.3 bank 1 works on v1.0 to v1.6b xbox but not v1.6 xboxs

Just to recap, I use the 5035 BIOS as it is, 512Kb so dont need to use X2BM.

Bit confused by the instructions to convert 3.0.3 to 3.0.1

I need to get the 3.0.1 BIOS from xbins, then put it in a folder called "BIOS".
Then I need to convert it to an ISO image. How do I do this?
