have you flash it with a bios are you taking about the flashbios screen whitch is used to flash the chip with a bios
the x2 chip and x2 bios do not have a config screen thats the x3 chip and x3 bios (don,t use the x3 bios on a x2 chip)

so the x2 does not have a bios screen, ok. Sry i am just trying to help a firned out because his dashboard is screwed up and i have a x3 chip, so thats y i asked. Is there anyway to get to a bkup screen w/o going into the dashboard?
if his dash is mess up use a auto installer to fix dash he will have to remove the bad dash then install new one
1/ make a evox boot dvd then ftp to xbox remove old dash install new one by FTPing the files
2/ use a auto installer like Auto installer deluxe 3 or slayer to format hard drive then put a fresh install of xbox dash as well as h/dash and apps

So how do we get the setup options like x3? this is my second xbox and i bought a x2.6ce i installed it works fine. saying that rocking my box. 
so anyway i see the difference between x2.6 (no setup screen) and x3(yes setup screen)
but how do i get same kinda config screen or something like x3. i dont like to use xbox dash. i only use xbmc in my other xbox. i got little confuse, want to save $20 but i like the setup screen on x3.

the x2 bios has a config file you ftp to your xbox E:/ folder this is edit to change bootup color fan speed and other but it is not like x3 on the fly option you have to edit x2config then ftp it to xbox there are app to do this (xbox-scene) but if you know what your doing then not needed

i know it is a different question but with x3 was much easier. i got the setup screen, did format hdd, ftp new xbmc and i was done. i feel little sorry to bought a x2 instead x3

to ftp to x2 xbox you will need a dash or a boot dvd i surgest you get AUTO INSTALLER DELUXE 4 it will install a dash(XBMC) as well as app/emu
if the other bios bank has flashbios on it dont flash over it as you may need to flash the chip one day and will not beable to
