Hey guys, just a quick question. Is there anyway possible to have my xbox always load to the dashboard even when a game is already inserted? I've already tried turning the "Autolaunch" feature off, but that doesn't seem to work when I turn off the box and then turn it on again. Thanks.

use a bios like the X2 5035. With this bios all the boot options are controlled by an INI file that lives in the root of your E drive.

Now when a DVD game boots it boot from a file called default.xbe. You can edit the ini file not to boot from DVD drive - default.xbe.

So in conjunction with autolaunch set to off in your dashboard this will solve your problem.

as stated above configure your dash settings as well use the x2config ini file to edit it to your liking, there's an option in the file to stop bios to boot DVDs, just set it to 1 instead of 0

when you download the X2 5035 bios an INI will be included in the zip file. You can then edit this manually in windows notepad.

or you could use x2 config make 0.5.4 - a nice PC tool that will help you create a customised ini file - once created put it in the root of your xbox E drive.

download x2 config maker here:

I found the X2conifg.INI file right in the root of my F drive and changed a few things. It didn't do anything. I also have an evox.INI file in the root of my C drive. Sorry for all the question. What do I do now?

It worked now...Thanks so much.

Another question (sorry i'm new to all of this). I have a folder named "SKIN" and another folder named "SKINS" in the C drive. In the first folder "SKIN" there's tons in there like Homer simpson, Halo, Hulk, bunch of them but when i actually go to change my skin, they are not there. Now in the second folder "SKINS" there is only a few of them, but those are the ones i can choose to change. I've tried just copying some of the files from the first folder over to the second one, but that doesn't seem to work. How can I use all those other skins that are in the first folder (SKIN). I hope that makes sense.

the folder SKIN relates to skins used by the Evolution X dashboard.

the folder SKINS relates to skins used by the UnleashX dashboard.

so as you you can only select from the skins in the SKINS folder that means you must be using UnleashX - a better dashboard than Evolution X anyway.
