There are 8 banks. This means that there can be 8 different bioses. Each bank is 256bk. You can have 4 512kb bioses that take up 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8
2 1024kb bioses using 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 or
1 2056 using all 8 banks. So the whole point of the 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 is so that you can have 2 1024kb(1Mb) bioses installed at the same time. This means that if you f**k one up then you've a backup one. I hope this answered your question, or am i completly in the wrong direction.

orginal firmware

Hi guys
I have just installed the new benq LT on my drive and need some advice. I have done the network test and i have been told that my machine needs a system update as i have not been online for over 6 months. I have read that all system updates should be done with stock firmware installed.

I deleted that firmware ages ago. Is it possible to get a copy of the original firmware somewhere? Do i need to bother?
Thanks in advamce.

Re: orginal firmware

It was noted that with Benq LT all system updates were done at your own discretion game updates were fine but the system updates were upto yourself, i wouldve suggested you flashed to stock firmware but as you dont have it im out of suggestions, unless you could get hold of an orig.bin stock firmware and use your drive key from your LT ffirmware. Thats just a thought tho and i may have been slightly noobish with it.

Re: orginal firmware

Hi pheonix
I don't mind getting an orig.bin and reflashing with the key from the LT but i would like confirmation that it is safe as such to do this. Has anybody else done a system update with lt installed and been okay?

Re: orginal firmware

I did my updates on 1.61 stupidly but so far (fingers crossed) i havent been banned tho i may possibly be flagged for the november wave ban who knows, id most likely just flash to Orig.bin to be on the safe side if your having any doubts at all.

I was about to do the update but something made me stop and check online first. I have found some links for the orig.bin but unsure what i need to do.
Do i reflash the same as usual?
I.e place the orig.bin in the jungleflasher firmware folder and then flash as normal?

Re: orginal firmware

Anybody?
Do I just use the LT firmware as source and orig.bin as target?
Is the procedure exactly the same as installing LT?
Thanks

Re: orginal firmware

From what ive been reading you need to use firmware toolbox to find your drive key then enter it into the orig.bin, i'd try using LT as the source and Orig.bin as the target i dont see how it would be any different from doing it the other way round as there both firmwares.

Re: orginal firmware

tI have been reading the new tutorial and i think it is quite straight forward. The tutorial sees to suggest that the firmwares are exactly the same on a benq so nothing changes. I will try and see how i get on.
Thanks

Re: orginal firmware

From what ive read the first one worked for others (b030.bin)

You can have a copy of my Orig.bin from my benq if its of any use to you, tho im in Scotland and have a PAL system not sure if its of any use to you.

http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=534287

Or you could try Firmware Toolbox as it comes with the original firmwares.
