Ok here goes,
I have a 1.0 board, x3ce chip, pinheader install
System boots to black screen on bank 1. (on on off off) No FRAG

I can boot to backup, but when I attempt to flash 3108, I get no response when I try to send the file. It will let me send a 303flashbios though so a networking problem should be ruled out.

The 2nd 1024 bank boots to 303 but will not recieve 3108 either.

I have redownloaded 3108 bin several times.

Chip LEDs: Red Blue And Blue.

Dipswitch panel seems ok. Will enter all 3 modes. I have also tried without the front panel. (Disconnecting at chip) Same results

Also I have checked continuity on the board on all pins and all seems AOK.

Any and all help is welcome.

Good luck finding a resolution. My buddy and I are having the same issue with his chip (see thread "Damn bios"). Check out bios 2914, it will probably work, but will not save any of you settings.

Try 3029...

So you can boot off 3.0.3 and 3.0.1?

I thought 3.0.3 only works for 1.6b...

That is correct. Backup boots to 301. 2nd 1mb bank boots to 303.
Actually, I only installed 303 to see if something would flash and had not read anywhere that 303 would not work with a 1.0

I have just tried flashing 3029 booting from backup. No dice. Same black screen on bootup. Just fyi, the box does appear to be flashing.

Could this still be hardware at this point?

Also, if anyone has the voltage settings for pins 13 and 14, I could use those to finish voltage testing. (the guide I had only went up to 12 for some reason.)

Thanks for the speedy responses.

Clarification: " The box seems to be flashing"

The bios flash looks successful. The Leds are proper.

One other thing I just noticed; When the system tries to boot after flashing and the black screen comes up, the fan spins up faster than in Flash bios screens. Puzzling to me...

Is your HDD light blinking as well, cause that causes heat.

So it runs the flash, powers off and then boots black... any sound?

No sound either. I believe the hd led blinks a couple of times extremely briefly.

I have the banks all set back to 301 again. I have checked pins 13 and 14 but for voltage only. Both read 3.2 . I have checked continuity on one of them only as the other runs under an ic and i have been unable to find a connection point for it.

I have found a voltage problem on one of my pins.
Pin 10 gets no voltage but continuity checks out.

I have made a new thread for this in the standard help and support forum as this might not be considered a "flash" problem at this point.
If posting over there is considered "bad form", my apologies.
