Xecuter 3 ce

I ordered a pre-wired motherboard, ordered an Xecuter 3 ce, and installed the mod chip. The original dip switch setting for the first flash wouldn't work. I got no screen at all. No fraggin though... just no screen. So, I played around with the dip switch after I found a settings document online. Finally out of all the banks, I found a 1 MB one available. FlashBios 3.03 in big white letters popped up. I thought I hit the mother load... nope. I found a webpage the told me how to setup the bios cd and I found a bios. 1 MB just like it said. I have a 16b board and the bios was a plus 16 bios. So I made the disc with a dvd-rw. 1MB bios and 100MB dummy. Loaded it up and everything appeared to be going well. It all finished and the box went off like the prompt informed me it would. I restarted it only to be faced with the black screen of utter demise. I've tried looking the board over... and everything seems ok. I check 14 and 15 on the lpc ... I can't figure it. Everything is wired accordingly and soldered seemlessly. I've been looking online and I can't find anything, anywhere. Before I flashed it I could even disable and play the xbox buy itself. No I get error 05 and sometimes 06 like it changes. I've tried the backup and the white button. Nothing is getting me back to the Flashbios 3.03. It was there before. What happened? If anyone out there can tell me how to flash my chip with hardware or other software ideas please help... Thank You

To flash a v1.6b, you should have set the switches to off,on,off,off,off then after it has booted to flashbios 3.03 you change the switches to on,on,off,off,off ( you can do this with the power on ). then flashed using 3294 v1.6plus.
The reason you should do this is because bank 1234 (on,on,off,off,off) contains flashbios 3.01 as does the backup which don't work on a 1.6b, and you don't want to flash over 5678 (off,on,off,off,off)which has the only flashbios version that will work on your xbox.
The first thing I sugest you do is remove the top of your xbox. take out the harddrive and dvd rom and then power up. Check that you have 2 blue led's lit up on the x3 chip.
If you don't then you need to see which one's not on ( 5volt or 3.3 volt ) and check your soldering etc.
If they are both on then check that the soldering is good on pins 13 and 14 as these are only used after flashing.
If the bios has flashed wrong then the best option you have is to have a friend flash the chip for you in a 1.0 to 1.5 xbox with flashbios 3.03 again or 3294 v1.6plus.

Thanx alot... I don't know anyone that has one so it looks like I am screwed. Thanx alot for the post though. Looks like I will be trying with my next chip. BTW I have both blue leds and 13 and 14 are soldered seemlessly. It's way better than the guy that did my last one. I heard that the spider programmer works with the Xecuter 3 ce so I will either get a new board or try that. Thanx a million you cleared so much up. Let me get this straight. I boot with 3.03 and while it is on I switch to the 1 MB bank with with 3.01 and over write it? I was also wondering, if the bios was bad because it should have booted to the Xecuter after I flashed even if it would not allow me to get to the Flashbios Screen right ?

The bios maybe bad but checking and resoldering pins 13 & 14 worth a try because these pins, just like rockclimber said is used after flashing X3 bios.
