xecuter 3 installed, need bios now.

The boys mom bought this mod for him at christmas. I work every day and spent this morning getting the hardware installed. Apparently, we need a cd with the software on it to flash the bios or something. Networking it is not an option. I have been reading all about it for about 4 hours now and am just going in circles. Is there anywhere I can get a disk with the stuff on it? To make matters worse, he broke the connector for the external switch. Not sure if it matters, but the boys generally play Halo 2 on line and want their guy to run faster and jump higher and all that neat stuff. They do have cable internet at their moms house. Will it automatically plug and play if they take it home,hook it back up, and turn it on?

You need to download the correct BIOS from xbins. They will not be able to play on Xbox Live with the chip enabled. Once you have the correct bios burn a data disk with the BIOS on it, you might want to try to fill up the disk with crap so the box will read it. It should be easier from here.

You have to create the disc yourself after you download the correct bios.

The external switch would come in handy but is not totally necessary.
You do need it for the initial setup of a version 1.6b xbox.

And if your planning to play on Xbox live, you can't do that running as a modded Xbox...

She got the right mod, however, the reason she got it is not an option. It was for a time but that has fortunately been stopped.

go to xlink kai website, you can play online there. They don't like cheaters in the ordinary games and you would get banned but I think there may be some arenas where it's alllowed.
