Xecuter 3 Pro Switch/Christmas Light

I searched the forum and couldn't find an explanation for this problem.

I modded my Xbox with a Xecuter 3 around 1 month ago and everything has been working fine since then, it was pretty enjoyable. So, since everything was working, I decided to go and order a Xecuter 3 Pro Switch to make it look slightly better. I installed the switch and since then I am getting Christmas light.

I tried to plug back the old one, same thing, I checked if the soldering job had changed or anything, everything was still fine. So, my question, is it possible that the panel killed the Xbox (or MCPX) and that I will have to change the motherboard again?

Fake edit: Xbox version 1.0, second motherboard.

Edit: I also tried to change the external switch cable (black one), but it still did the error.

Third language to be precise. The light in front of the xbox is flashing red/green and the panel seems to be working fine.

Ah, try searching on FRAG (Flashing Red And Green). Wild guess but I suspect you might have crimped your panel cables - might want to take your box apart and check out where the cable thread through the case at the controller port and make sure the wires are still OK.

i'd try unplugging the control panel wire from the x3 completely... you may have caught one in the case...

Open it up and check your soldering.

Something may have come loose.

Thanks, I looked up FRAG for a few hours to find out it may be because it cannot find the bios anymore. I don't know how it could've happened or how it could've been flashed, but it might be since when I disable the chip, the xbox works perfectly.

Thanks everyone for your answer, I did try every of them one by one.

on my friends' xbox, we flashed it with the standard switch... everything was fine... then we installed a proswitch and we had to re-flash the xbox for some reason. only thing that had changed was the switch and as far as i know the BIOS is stored on the chip, not in the switch.

Did you select the correct banks on the pro-switch so it knows which bios bank to load from? Obviously if its on the wrong bank its going to frag because it cant find a bios to load. Try unplugging the switch and see if it still frags.

I did find the main problem. I checked every solder point with a magnifying glass and the solder on one was half gone. I resoldered it and changed the external switch cable as well since it was slightly broken. Taking a small nap also helped to think more clearly and relieve some "stress".

Thanks everyone.

Edit: Also, if you pull too hard on the external switch cable because it simply does not want to come out, be very careful as I broke mine this way and it will make the xbox frag also. Now it comes out much easier on the pro than on the normal panel and I won't have to worry about breaking it again.
