lol i have ONE more question the modchips.ca site says that the X3 works perfectly fine without the external switch. We give YOU the option without forcing the choice. does this mean i have to buy the external switch seperatly also or does it come with it

It should come with it and honestly you're better off using it it's wafer thin and looks funky as fu*k. If you don want it on the front just run it to the back or wait for the control panel now that's gonna be a very sweet bit of kit to replace the front of your xbox.

A quick note to Canadian customers buying stuff from modchip.ca. It seems that their currency converter is way out of date. For example they are selling the X3 chip for $84.95 Canadian and $59.95 US. If you convert the US amount to the current canadian exchange rate it works out to $76.29. An $8.66 difference. Please not that these inflated exchange rates also apply to shipping so the actual cost of your chip will be even higher. Also the pictures of the X3 are out of date as they are showing the original X3 purple chip and not the updated X3ce even though they are calling it the X3se. Im not trying to slam modchip.ca as i have bought many products from them in the past and they have always given me good service but they are not being very competitive at the moment. If modchip.ca gives you an option of paying in US funds and let your credit card company convert it to Canadian for you, then you will save money, but im not sure if this is an option on their site.
