Hey,

First off here are my details:

Xbox: Version 1.1
ModChip: Xecuter 3CE Solderless

I installed the chip into the xbox without any problems. All comes up completely working, I also installed the optional bank switching thing. I flash the latest X3 bios to banks 1234 and that works fine. After that I stupidly went playing around with the settings in the X3 bios and enabled a password. Well now I'm stuck on the Xecuter Rox My Box screen.

Even more foolishly I then do a bad flash on banks 5678. So now all 8 of my banks are rendered useless. The only bank I have remaining is the 256K Backup Bank.

Now I'm a complete noob to all of this so treat me kindly and stupidly. :)
I have no problem getting any software you think I need from "the usual places"

As I understand it I can't flash a bios bigger than 256K to my backup. Correct?
If that's true what bios should I flash?

Also once I flash a bios to the backup bank how do I fix my other 8 banks?

Please help me.
THX in Advance.

Using your backup flashbios ( press on and eject togher) You will to need to flash bios x3_1892 onto either bank 1234 or 5678 ( it will over write the one there) which will then ask you for the password. Unset the password option then reflash with Bios 3294.
You can get x3_1892 from xbims.

Hi,

Because this is all new to me I didn't realise that the backup was there so you can overwrite the 8 banks provided on the chip. I thought the backup chip was like one of the 8 banks, I thought I only had one more chance to get it right. Anyway I flashed x3_1892 to banks 1234 and then deleted the stupid password. I then flashed the x3_3294 back to banks 1234. After that I flashed the 256K Cromwell Bios to banks 5678 to refresh them.

Very handy little thing that backup bios :) Xecuter ROCKS.
